Loneliness or the fear of loneliness?

The movie, Last Life in the Universe, is visually alive and depicts a man whose persistence in suicide fails him, repeatedly. It is a slow moving film, but has many subtleties; which is more or less analogous to the protagonist's life.

If you're the only one left in the universe, would you also want to end it?
